ASSET
An autonomous control unit controlling the terminals and auxiliary concentrators forms the "brain" of the ASSET system. The terminals (card readers) initiate the authentication transaction after the cardholder swipes/holds his ID card or chip (key case) up to the readers. The card readers can be simple or with a keyboard (higher level of security requires PIN) or, it can be quipped with a keyboard and a display. An innovation made enables the terminals to be connected to a touch screen and used for comfortable entry of time and attendance events, SAS control or ordering of meals. The capacity of the control unit is up to 360 concentrators (card readers) or 2, 880 reporting inputs.
The system functions even in the case of communication loss with the system upgrade. If so, the system continues working and the entire operational procedure is stored in the internal memory. After communication is restored, the system transmits the data into the parent server. The system functionality is also secured against power supply failure. The control unit and the terminals are fed from the backup sources with a minimum supply time of 24 hours. The maximum time of autonomous operation is pre-set according to the size of the object, however, the maximum time is at least 30 days.
The actual number of cardholders is unlimited. It is limited only by the capacity of the unit's memory.
Communication between a control unit and the central server is established either locally, i.e. through the LAN system, or by means of wireless connection with low-rate dataflow (for example, GPRS). One of the benefits of this connection consists of the possibility to connect an unlimited number of control units to one server, even units from quite remote locations. Another benefit of this connection represents the central administration of the system.
Cards are created, canceled and edited in a comfortable Client program of the Windows environment. Administrators (they can be assigned with multi-level access/administrator's authorizations) set the parameters of individual cards or their groups here. Setting of the access to individual card readers and restriction of the access to the time zones belong among the most frequently used parameters. Additionally, the Client program enables to monitor the movement of persons in the object, limit the number of persons being in one zone at the same time (parking lots), and search for a particular person and many other practical activities. In the system, it is also possible to define the time zones where the doors are permanently unlocked. In these time zones the card reader activates the door relay. This function is applied particularly in the workplaces where they have office hours for the public, etc.
Installations of required high security level are additionally equipped with an anti-pass back function. It is a function preventing repeated entry (exit). Three levels can be set here - discharged, activated and blocked. The first level only warns about an incorrect movement of a person in the building, the second one prevents passing-through, however, the cardholder can activate the card by returning in the object's part where he made the mistake, and the third level blocks the card at the moment the mistake was made. Such a blocked card can be unblocked only by the card administrator.
Asset Client can be provided to additional authorized persons. The type of displayed information can be defined according to the authorization level - starting with the user from company X in Zone Y (an assistant), complete record of all events from all companies (a warden at the company lodge) up to editing, blocking or creating of cards (an administrator).
The Access Control System is fully integrated with the security alarm system, thus, the zones can be automatically disarmed when entered or, armed after all persons present in the building leave.
System ASSET can also be connected with key-operated safe-deposit boxes where keys are kept when leaving the object. A valid card with particular access authorization usually protected by a PIN code is required to be allowed to take the keys from the safe-deposit boxes.
Another module of the system is represented by a Guest Book. It is installed in the workstations which secure entry to the object (reception, lodge) and, includes an OCR reading device that confirms IDs which significantly facilitates guest check-in procedures. A card of the guest can be assigned with a route which the guest is allowed to take. The card automatically deactivates itself, when swiped/presented to the exit card reader. Objects that are not equipped with the card crunchers are usually installed with an acoustic and optical signaling system. The system warns the guards that the guests are leaving - a signal to take the cards away from the leaving guests.
Client software has a wide range of possibilities to set the graphic and acoustic output for the security guards including photographic display of a person currently passing-through, on the monitor.
Only data stored in the server are used when using the Client Applications, i.e. when the Client program is closed, no sensitive data remain in the computer.

ASSET TORINET
Asset Torinet is software which integrates the functions of attendance, meal delivery system and monitoring of presence into one program interface along with the Access Control System (ACS). The server of the Torinet application is typically installed in one computer with the ASSET server. Torinet communicates with Asset by means of an Asset server which sorts received data and distributes it between ACS and Torinet. The Torinet server receives necessary information only (attendance, meal order and delivery system) from the Asset server. Thus, it does not access any sensitive data from the ACS (card's number, authorization level,, etc.). The Torinet application identifies the user according to his personal number. Therefore, Torinet does not have to contain a card database which is stored in two places only - Asset switching centre and Asset server. Once again, that enhances the system security against any breach.
The client program can be run on any computer connected to the LAN system. A user identifies himself after he enters his name and password or, his domain and the Windows system password. There also exists an intranet type of the Client application based on ActiveX technology. The technology makes the program an adequate Client having the same form and functions as the classic Client program. Thus, the installation of the Client program on the majority of computers is not necessary which saves time and the system means of the LAN system administrator.
When using the Client application, data stored on the server are used only, i.e. after the Client program is closed and no sensitive data are left on the computer.
The basic part of Torinet software contains all functions and options of modules that are the same for all users - companies. The additional part enables an application to be smoothly configured to the particular customer's/company's requirements and thus, this part would become functional only for a particular company. Despite the number of companies in one system, each company can have separate user functions which, however, can also change the basic functions of a particular company. For example, attendance export function of a payroll system (every company has a different payroll system software), special print layouts, adjustment of user database boxes for particular requirements (additional staff classification, dates of birth, etc.).
ASSET TORINET - ATTENDANCE module
Any terminal can be defined as an attendance one and along with the Access Control System, it can gather data for subsequent attendance processing. Terminals having alphanumerical display can be installed too. The terminals can receive entered data on holidays, duty trips, and sick leave to care for a family member and other data required for the attendance system.
The administrator can set a big amount of attendance parameters in a way the final state corresponds with both the current legislation and the actual situation in the organization. Also belonging among the functions and parameters most frequently defined during the course of the system implementation/reconfiguration are adding of new attendance events, setting of work time metering, general inclusion of breaks, time relevance (hours, days, periods), methods of following days distribution, color setting of the overviews, and a great deal of additional general properties that are consequently used in the attendance review.
On the basis of the attendance macros setting, the setting can be further divided or applied into groups of employees. By means of the macros, the time intervals can be set to insert breaks, closely selected events in a particular group of working hours, time zones in which events are not counted in the working hours (for example, seeing a doctor till 9:30) and other corrections and adjustments which will make the steps automated for a correct attendance representation.
In the attendance system, it is also possible to define users having the authorization to view or adjust personal or subordinated staff's attendance events (foremen, assistants, employees from the Personnel and Payroll department, etc.).
ASSET TORINET - MEAL module
The basis of the system is formed by an ordering/issuing card reader equipped with a display. The card reader allows the staff to order, change and also get their meal. The system can support up to 4 canteens and dining halls. The meal servers can see the dish and the amount to be issued on a signaling LED display.
The module registering meal orders completes the Torinet application with additional data processing. The system prepares overviews necessary for the operation, i.e. displays meal orders for any date, lists of closing dates for particular meals, statements of meals taken, cash book or diners' accounts. It also enables menus to be edited for any date, canteen and meal (breakfast/lunch/dinner/take-away wrapped snack) by means of a list of meals or entering an "atypical" item in the menu. Each item in the menu has its separate closing date so it is possible to respond in a flexible way to any situation. Users can order (or change) meals directly from the application. If they are authorized, they can also order/cancel/issue meals for other diners from the displayed group.
Considering the integrated system Asset (ACS/Attendance/Meals/Monitoring) is fully developed and produced by our company, user functions can be changed according to the customer's requirements so that the system would be perfectly consistent with all implemented processes within the customer's organization.
The main benefit of the Asset system is that it integrates modules of the attendance system, access control system, or meals into one single database. Additionally, attendance terminals can be used as door control terminals, access control terminals (it is easier without any display) and in a limited extent, they can also generate data for the attendance system.
ASSET TORINET - MONITOR module
On the basis of attendance events, the MONITOR module provides information on the presence of users in workstations, duty trips, holidays, etc. This is quite useful, for example, when checking out guests, connecting people on the phone, etc. This module is suitable for receptions or lodges where it can easily replace a complex access control system. It can also, for example, inform the supervisor on the presence of his subordinates.
Different overviews (tables) with many filtration options make this module a useful aide. In the module it is also possible to create your own overviews and arbitrarily configure location and properties of the displayed data. This versatile facet enables you to display data according to your own requirements and imagination.
